Become a mentor to a student
The University of Turku's multidisciplinary mentoring programme supports students' transition to working life and maintains interaction with the university and its educators.
Want to share your knowledge and experience of working life, job search and career planning with a student about to graduate? If you have been in the workplace for at least five years, become a mentor! Mentors are alumni of the University of Turku who want to share their work experience and perspective as well as their professional networks with a graduating student.
At the same time, the mentor's working life and interaction skills are developed. The ideas and views of a young colleague also provide new perspectives on the mentor's work. In many work communities, mentoring is also seen as a way of developing leadership skills.
