An international perspective is central to the research conducted in economic sociology: a major part of these studies utilizes international comparative data. Specific expertise of the unit is in the contemporary survey techniques. The researchers participate actively in the international scientific community through conferences, short- and long-term visits and by publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
Brahea Develops Entrepreneurship Education in Hanoi
Experts of the University of Turku are working in collaboration with the teaching staff of the Vietnamese Hanoi University of Science and Technology and the University of Danang to develop the entrepreneurship education of the institutions.
Ideas for the Student City of Dreams at the 24-Hour Camp
11 student teams took part in the Challenge Turku innovation camp, which was organised for the second time, and the judges praised that all the ideas of the teams were feasible. The winning team wanted to develop the cultural destinations of Turku in order to make them more attractive.

Cooperation Highlighted at Turku Baltic Sea Days
The University of Turku presented its diverse research on the Baltic Sea region and strengthened important contacts in the various Baltic Sea events arranged in the beginning of June.
